Residents of Osun State have staged protests over a recently constructed road they describe as poorly executed and already deteriorating. The demonstration, which took place on Tuesday, highlighted the frustrations of citizens with infrastructure projects in the state.

Protesters claimed that parts of the road began breaking down only weeks after completion. Videos circulating on social media show residents digging up sections of the road to draw attention to what they say is substandard workmanship by contractors and inadequate oversight by state officials.

Many residents voiced their displeasure, insisting that the government must ensure proper quality control and accountability in public infrastructure projects.

This is not the first time communities in Osun State have protested over road conditions. Past demonstrations have also called on state authorities to address delays, substandard construction, and neglected maintenance of critical roads.

The protest underscores ongoing concerns about infrastructure quality and governance in Osun State, with citizens demanding immediate action to prevent further deterioration and ensure safety.
