DSS Arrests Notorious ESN Commander, Suspected IPOB Member in Enugu

By Erewunmi Peace

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Sebastine Odo Odam, a suspected commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), along with Ejike Daniel, allegedly linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, Enugu State.

Security sources say the arrests follow months of intelligence operations and that the suspects are linked to attacks on police stations, killings of security personnel, and the February 2026 killing of 11 labourers in the area.

Both suspects are in DSS custody and investigations are ongoing. Authorities have assured residents that security measures have been intensified to prevent further violence.
