Notorious Kidnapper Killed in Edo as Troops Rescue Four Kidnapped Victims

A suspected notorious kidnapper was killed in Edo State as troops successfully rescued four kidnapped victims during a security operation, authorities confirmed.
The operation, conducted by troops of the 4 Brigade, 2 Division Nigerian Army in collaboration with the Edo State Security Corps, took place in the Warake Forest area of Owan East Local Government Area.
According to official statements, the troops engaged the gang in a gunfight, leading to the death of one suspected kidnapper. Another suspect was arrested during a separate raid, and items including a shrine, charms, and photographs linked to criminal activity were recovered and destroyed.
The rescued victims were safely reunited with their families, bringing relief to the affected communities.
Security experts noted that the operation highlights the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian Army and state security agencies to combat kidnapping and criminal gangs in Edo State and surrounding areas.
