The incident, which Abigail reported publicly, has prompted a human rights group to petition the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Osun State government, calling for an urgent investigation and prosecution of the officer involved.

According to the victim’s account, the alleged assault occurred within the AIG’s office, and she has described the experience as traumatizing and physically harmful. The rights group emphasised that immediate action is necessary to ensure accountability and safeguard victims of sexual violence.
