The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a fresh weather advisory forecasting dust haze and cloudy conditions across several parts of Nigeria.

According to NiMet’s latest outlook, moderate dust haze is expected to affect parts of the northern and North-Central regions.

Visibility levels may reduce in some areas due to suspended dust particles in the atmosphere.

In the southern region, residents should expect cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine. There are also chances of localized thunderstorms and light rainfall in some states, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours.

Health and Safety Advisory

NiMet has advised members of the public, especially individuals with respiratory conditions such as asthma, to take necessary precautions. Dust particles in the air may trigger breathing difficulties and reduce air quality.

Motorists and air travelers are also advised to stay updated with official weather reports due to possible visibility changes.
