Mother of Eight Gives Birth to Five Babies in Kano

A woman in Kano State, identified as Hafsatu Yusuf, has given birth to quintuplets, adding five newborns to her existing eight children.
The rare delivery took place at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano, where the mother successfully gave birth to three boys and two girls. Medical officials confirmed that both the mother and the babies are currently receiving specialised care at the facility.
The Kano State Government has stepped in to support the family by covering the medical expenses and ensuring proper care for the newborns.
The husband of the woman, a commercial tricycle operator, expressed gratitude for the government’s intervention, describing it as timely support for the family.
Quintuplet births are extremely rare and often require intensive medical attention, making this case significant within the state’s healthcare system.
