Former Nigerian senator and political commentator, Shehu Sani, has suggested that the recent invitation extended to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, by former U.S. President Donald Trump may signal a softening of the United States’ stance toward Nigeria.

Sani made the remark following the First Lady’s participation in the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington, D.C., where she was publicly acknowledged by President Trump. During the event, Trump reportedly described Mrs. Tinubu as a “very respected woman,” drawing attention from political observers.
