“We’ve Killed Those Bastards” — NSA Ribadu Declares Abuja–Kaduna Road Safe Again

By Erewunmi Peace

Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has announced the elimination of notorious terrorists along the Abuja–Kaduna highway, declaring the route safe for night travel after years of deadly ambushes and kidnappings.

Speaking during a citizens-government engagement organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation in Kaduna, Ribadu did not mince words in affirming the military’s success.

“You drive from Abuja to Kaduna at night now because we have killed those bastards,” he said boldly, drawing applause from the audience.

He revealed that among the terrorists neutralized were three notorious kingpins — Kachalla Boka, Dogo Isah, and Kachalla Shekau — responsible for years of criminal activity along the corridor.

Ribadu emphasized that the federal government is no longer relying on air travel to reach Kaduna, citing a symbolic decision taken just a day before:

“Even last night, we drove from Abuja. It’s a statement we want to make. All the ministers — we stopped everyone from flying.”

The NSA further revealed that there were recent attempts to bomb the Abuja–Kaduna train, but swift action from security forces averted disaster. He assured Nigerians that intelligence and military collaboration under the Tinubu administration is yielding visible and measurable results.

What This Means:

The Abuja–Kaduna expressway, once a hotspot for banditry and abductions, is now being declared safe for night travel.

High-profile terrorists have been eliminated, and the government has chosen to lead by example by traveling the road at night.

Citizens are urged to remain vigilant but optimistic as the country continues improving internal security.

This bold declaration is part of the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to restore public trust and ensure freedom of movement across the country.
