Osun APC Opposes Adeleke’s Re-election, Criticizes Teachers’Recruitment Process

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke should not be re-elected in the upcoming August 15 governorship election, citing concerns over governance and the administration’s handling of teachers’ recruitment.
In a statement released by the party’s state chapter, the APC criticized the recruitment process for teachers under the Adeleke-led government, describing it as poorly handled and lacking transparency.
According to the opposition party, the recruitment exercise has created uncertainty among applicants and raised questions about the government’s commitment to improving the education sector in the state.
The APC argued that the alleged irregularities in the recruitment process reflect broader governance issues and urged voters to consider alternative leadership ahead of the election.
However, supporters of Governor Adeleke and members of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have defended the administration’s efforts, stating that steps are being taken to address teacher shortages and improve education in the state.
Governor Adeleke’s government has previously maintained that the recruitment exercise is part of ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the public education system.
Political observers note that criticism and counter-criticism between parties are common as the state prepares for the next governorship election.
