Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary After Defeating Stanley Osifo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) after winning the party’s nationwide primary election ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to the official collation of results announced in Abuja, Tinubu secured about 10.99 million votes to defeat his challenger, Stanley Osifo, who polled 16,504 votes.

The primary election was reportedly conducted across 8,809 wards nationwide as part of the APC’s internal democratic process.

The results were collated at the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, where party officials and delegates monitored the exercise.

Following the announcement, APC leaders congratulated Tinubu on his victory and described the process as peaceful and transparent.

Political observers noted that Tinubu entered the contest as the overwhelming favourite within the ruling party, with strong backing from many party stakeholders across the country.

The outcome has generated reactions from supporters and critics alike, with many Nigerians already discussing the political implications ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The APC is expected to begin broader campaign preparations following the conclusion of its presidential primary process.
