Mutfwang: We Will Not Allow Mass Burial for Angwan Rukuba Attack Victims

Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has stated that the government will not permit a mass burial for victims of the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area.
The attack, which occurred on Sunday evening, left several people dead and others injured after suspected bandits reportedly struck at a popular bar in the community.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Gyang Bere, Mutfwang disclosed that he visited the affected community on Monday to assess the situation and sympathise with residents.
He assured that the state government would ensure each victim receives a dignified and befitting burial, rather than a mass interment.
The governor also reiterated the government’s commitment to improving security and preventing further attacks in the state.
Authorities are expected to continue investigations into the incident as efforts intensify to restore calm in the area.
