Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted a truck allegedly transporting military camouflage materials and suspected illicit drugs, leading to the arrest of four suspects.

According to security sources, the operation was carried out following credible intelligence on the movement of suspicious items within the state. Police officers reportedly stopped the vehicle during a routine security operation and conducted a thorough search. Reports indicate that military-style camouflage materials and suspected narcotics were recovered from the truck.

The suspects were immediately taken into custody for further interrogation, while the recovered items were secured as exhibits for ongoing investigations. Authorities are working to determine the source of the materials, their intended destination, and whether the suspects are linked to a wider criminal network.

Security experts have repeatedly warned that unauthorized possession of military uniforms and camouflage materials poses a significant security risk, as such items can be used for impersonation and other criminal activities. Similar interceptions involving military apparel and prohibited items have been recorded in recent operations by security agencies.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to combating crime and strengthening security across Lagos State through intelligence-led operations and collaboration with other security agencies.
