Security operatives in Enugu State have uncovered another cache of weapons during a joint operation conducted by the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to security sources, the operation led to the recovery of arms and other military-related items allegedly linked to suspected members of proscribed groups operating in the South-East.

Officials also reported the discovery of uniforms believed to be associated with the suspects during the raid.

The operation was carried out following intelligence-led surveillance and is part of ongoing security efforts aimed at curbing violent crime and illegal armed activity in the region.

Security authorities confirmed that suspects arrested during the operation have been handed over to the DSS for further interrogation and investigation.

The military said the collaboration between security agencies reflects a strengthened approach to tackling insecurity and dismantling criminal networks across the South-East.

As of the time of filing this report, investigations were still ongoing, and authorities had not released full details on prosecutions or final findings.
