China has called for a restructuring of the global power balance, stating that current international systems no longer reflect modern geopolitical and economic realities.

The declaration was made in a newly released white paper outlining China’s foreign policy outlook and its position on global governance reforms. The document emphasizes the need for a more “equitable and multipolar world order” that gives greater representation to developing nations.

According to the white paper, global institutions must be reformed to reflect the growing influence of emerging economies, particularly in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. It argues that the existing system is overly dominated by a few powerful nations, which it says undermines fairness and global stability.

China also reiterated its commitment to peaceful development and international cooperation, while stressing that changes to the global order should be achieved through dialogue rather than confrontation.

The document highlights issues such as trade imbalance, climate governance, technological access, and security cooperation as key areas requiring reform under a new global framework.

Beijing further stated that it seeks to play a greater role in shaping international rules while supporting what it described as “common development for all nations.”

The white paper has drawn global attention, with analysts interpreting it as part of China’s broader effort to expand its diplomatic influence and reshape global governance structures.
