Tinubu Appoints Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Foreign Affairs Minister, Nominates Enikanolaiye as Minister of State

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The appointment follows recent changes within the ministry and is part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements and foreign policy direction.

In a related development, the President has also nominated Sola Enikanolaiye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. The nomination has been forwarded to the Senate for screening and confirmation in line with constitutional requirements.

Odumegwu-Ojukwu is expected to lead Nigeria’s foreign affairs portfolio, overseeing diplomatic relations and representing the country in international engagements.

Observers note that the appointments come at a time when Nigeria is seeking to enhance its global presence and strengthen bilateral and multilateral partnerships.
