Nigeria’s Engineering Community Celebrates Gbenga Daniel at 70

Members of Nigeria’s engineering community have paid tribute to former Ogun State Governor and Senator, Gbenga Daniel, as he marks his 70th birthday.
In messages of goodwill and recognition, several professionals and stakeholders in the engineering sector described Daniel as an “engineer-statesman,” highlighting his contributions to both engineering practice and public service.
Daniel, who is a trained engineer and currently represents Ogun East Senatorial District, has had a long career spanning the private sector and politics. He previously served as Governor of Ogun State from 2003 to 2011 and has remained active in national development discussions.
