The management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has suspended two senior officials and the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President over allegations of extortion involving students of the institution. The decision was taken pending the outcome of an investigation into the matter.

According to reports, the affected officials include a director and a deputy dean, while the SUG president was also placed on suspension as part of efforts by the university authorities to ensure a transparent investigation.
