Police authorities have arrested three operatives of the Mining Marshals in connection with the death of a fellow officer, as investigations reportedly uncovered more than ₦2 billion in the bank account of a police sergeant linked to the case.

According to preliminary reports, the arrests followed an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a Mining Marshals operative, which has attracted significant attention within security and law enforcement circles.

Investigators are said to be examining financial records and other evidence after discovering the large sum of money in the sergeant’s account, raising questions about the source of the funds.
