Troops Kill 30 Terrorists, Destroy Boats in Lake Chad Offensive – OPHK

By Erewunmi Peace

Troops under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have recorded a major breakthrough in ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the Lake Chad axis, killing about 30 terrorists and destroying several logistics boats used by insurgents.

The operation, carried out in the Lake Chad waterways, involved coordinated air and ground assaults targeting suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP hideouts.

According to military sources, the offensive was based on credible intelligence that revealed terrorist movement and supply routes across the islands and surrounding areas of the Lake Chad region.

During the operation, troops reportedly neutralised several insurgents and destroyed boats used for transporting supplies and facilitating movement across the waterways.

The military said the action is part of intensified efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and cut off their logistics and operational capabilities in the North-East.

Operation Hadin Kai continues to conduct clearance operations in the region as part of broader efforts to restore peace and security in affected communities.
