By Erewunmi Peace

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, setting key dates for its primary elections and outlining requirements for aspirants.

According to the timetable, the party has scheduled its presidential primary election to hold in May 2026 as part of preparations for the 2027 polls.

The APC also fixed the cost of its presidential nomination process at a total of ₦100 million. This includes ₦30 million for the Expression of Interest form and ₦70 million for the Nomination form.

In addition to the presidential fees, the party outlined costs for other positions, with governorship forms pegged at ₦50 million, senatorial forms at ₦20 million, and House of Representatives forms at ₦10 million.

The release of the timetable signals the party’s early preparations for the next general elections and is expected to shape political activities across the country in the coming months.

Political observers say the high cost of nomination forms may influence the number of aspirants and the dynamics within the party ahead of the primaries.

The APC has maintained that its process will be transparent and in line with electoral guidelines as the 2027 elections approach.
