A breakdown of the budget implementation shows that only ₦382 million was spent on hospital-related infrastructure and healthcare delivery during the period under review, a figure considered low in relation to the state’s health needs.

In contrast, about ₦24 billion was reportedly allocated to the Ede Airport project, which has continued to generate public debate over its cost, priority, and long-term economic value.

The spending pattern has sparked discussions among stakeholders, with concerns raised about the balance between capital-intensive projects and essential social services such as healthcare.

Observers argue that while infrastructure development is important, greater attention is needed in critical sectors like health, education, and welfare to improve living standards for citizens.
