2027: Osoba Warns APC Over Alleged Political Alliance Against Tinubu

By Peace Erewunmi

Former Ogun State Governor and elder statesman, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has alleged that there are growing political moves aimed at challenging the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Osoba reportedly claimed that certain political interests were considering presenting candidates from the Southern region in an effort to weaken the ruling party’s chances during the next presidential election.

The former governor mentioned names such as Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, and former President Goodluck Jonathan while speaking on emerging political alignments ahead of 2027.

According to him, the APC must remain united and strategic in order to withstand opposition plans and maintain its political strength across the country.

Osoba’s comments have generated reactions within political circles, with supporters of different political parties debating the possibility of new alliances ahead of the elections.

Political analysts believe discussions around possible coalitions and regional political interests are likely to intensify as the 2027 election season gradually approaches.

However, there has been no official confirmation of any joint political arrangement involving the personalities mentioned by the former governor.

The development comes amid increasing political activities and consultations among major political stakeholders across Nigeria.
