Former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has picked up the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.

The move signals his intention to contest for the governorship position under the APC platform as political activities gradually begin to take shape ahead of the next election cycle.

The forms were obtained at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, reportedly by a representative on his behalf.

Adelabu, who has previously contested for the governorship, is making another bid as he seeks to secure the party’s ticket for the upcoming election.

Political observers note that his decision could reshape the dynamics within the APC in Oyo State, as other aspirants are also expected to emerge in the lead-up to the party primaries.
