Kwara Governor Endorses Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki as Preferred Successor

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has endorsed Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki as his preferred successor ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement was reportedly made during consultations with party leaders and political stakeholders within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq described Seriki as a capable and grassroots politician with the capacity to continue ongoing development efforts in Kwara State.
According to reports, the governor’s support positions Seriki as a leading contender within the APC ahead of the party’s governorship primary.
However, political observers note that the endorsement does not automatically secure the party’s ticket, as other aspirants are still expected to contest in the primary election.
The development has already begun generating reactions within political circles in Kwara State as realignments continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.
