Tinubu Announces Fresh Appointments Across Key Sectors

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a series of fresh appointments and reappointments across key sectors, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and institutional effectiveness.
Among the new appointments, Professor Shu’aibu Aliyu has been named Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). His appointment takes immediate effect, as he succeeds the outgoing leadership of the agency.
In the power sector, the president also approved the reappointment of Sule Abdulaziz as the Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), extending his tenure to ensure continuity in the country’s electricity transmission operations.
Additionally, Mrs. Patience Okala has been appointed as the National Coordinator of Nigeria’s AfCFTA Coordination Office, a strategic role aimed at enhancing the country’s participation in continental trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement.
The latest appointments reflect the administration’s continued efforts to reposition key institutions and drive efficiency across critical sectors of the economy, including energy and trade.
