Bode George Condemns INEC’s Recognition of Wike’s PDP Faction

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bode George, has criticised the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to recognise a faction of the party linked to Nyesom Wike.
George described the move as “deceitful” and “dishonest,” warning that it could further deepen the ongoing crisis within the PDP.
He argued that the faction associated with Wike does not represent the majority of the party and insisted that due process must be followed in resolving the leadership dispute.
The PDP has been embroiled in internal conflicts, with rival factions laying claim to the party’s leadership, leading to legal battles and political tension.
George called for the matter to be resolved through appropriate legal channels, including the courts, to ensure fairness and uphold democratic principles.
The development highlights the deepening divisions within the opposition party as it navigates internal challenges ahead of future elections.
