Former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Mimiko disclosed this in a resignation letter dated April 10, 2026, stating that he is no longer a member of the party.

According to him, the decision followed a prolonged period of limited involvement in party activities, as well as ongoing speculation regarding his political status.

He noted that his resignation was made without any form of hostility, emphasizing that he holds no grievances against members of the party.
