The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a circulating list claiming that it cleared allies of former Governor Nyesom Wike while disqualifying supporters of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The party described the list as false, unauthorised, and not issued by any official screening or accreditation committee of the APC in the state.

According to party sources, the alleged document being shared on social media did not originate from the party and should be disregarded by members of the public and party stakeholders.

The APC noted that its screening and verification processes for aspirants are still ongoing, and no final or official list of cleared or disqualified candidates has been released.

The clarification comes amid growing political tension and speculation within Rivers State APC, where reports of internal divisions and factional alignments have continued to circulate.

Party officials reiterated that only communications from recognised APC structures at the state or national level should be considered authentic.

They urged members and supporters to avoid spreading unverified information that could mislead the public or heighten political tensions within the party.
