Amaechi Blasts Tinubu Government Over Rising Economic Hardship in Nigeria
By Erewunmi Peace
Former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has criticised the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing it of poor management of public resources and policies that have worsened economic hardship in the country.
Amaechi made the remarks during an interview appearance on a DCL Hausa programme, where he spoke on the state of the nation and the economic challenges facing Nigerians.
He said the current economic situation has placed significant pressure on citizens, with rising costs of living making it increasingly difficult for many households to cope.
The former governor alleged that government policies have contributed to deepening hardship across the country and called for improved management of national resources.
Amaechi’s comments add to growing political debate over the country’s economic direction, with several stakeholders expressing differing views on recent reforms.
As of the time of filing this report, the Presidency has not issued an official response to his remarks.
The statement continues to generate reactions across political and public circles.
