By Erewunmi Peace
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a three-day weather forecast, warning Nigerians of varying weather conditions across different regions from Sunday, December 21, 2025, to Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
According to the forecast, sunshine and haze are expected in most parts of the northern and north-central regions, while localized morning thunderstorms and light rainfall may occur in parts of the South-South and South-East on Sunday.
On Monday, northern regions are expected to continue experiencing sunny and hazy conditions, whereas southern regions may see cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Similar patterns are expected on Tuesday, with the North remaining largely sunny and hazy and the South experiencing morning clouds followed by scattered showers.
NiMet advised residents to take precautions against dust haze, particularly in the North, which can affect visibility and respiratory health. Motorists were also warned to exercise caution while driving during rainfall, and airline operators were reminded to consult specific airport weather
reports for flight planning.
The agency emphasized that the forecast reflects seasonal transitional weather and urged Nigerians to stay updated on daily weather reports.
