A 43-year-old Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer, Igho Ubiribo, has reportedly died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure while on holiday in Thailand.

According to reports cited by Osun Defender, a UK coroner ruled that the cosmetic procedure led to a fatal pulmonary embolism.

Ubiribo, who was also known by the nicknames “Tiny,” “Denisi” and “Ego,” was reportedly in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, when he decided to undergo the procedure at an unnamed clinic in Thailand.

The procedure reportedly involved the injection of 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine.

After the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife returned to their Marriott hotel and went for a massage. During the massage, he complained of chest pain and reportedly lost consciousness twice.

He was subsequently taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially responsive to medical staff.

Doctors reportedly suspected that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism and recommended a CT scan. However, Ubiribo lost consciousness before the scan could be conducted.

Medical personnel later performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for more than 100 minutes in an attempt to revive him, but he died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Pathologist John du Parcq told the inquest that the findings were consistent with a pulmonary embolism and matched findings from a Thai autopsy.

The case has drawn attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic procedures and the importance of seeking treatment from qualified medical professionals.
