President Tinubu Returns to Nigeria After Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after participating in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) held in the United Arab Emirates.
The President arrived in Abuja after leading Nigeria’s delegation to the global summit, which focuses on sustainable development, climate action, energy transition, and economic cooperation.
Engagements in Abu Dhabi
During the event, President Tinubu engaged with world leaders, policymakers, and investors on issues relating to renewable energy, climate financing, and sustainable economic growth.
He reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to pursuing policies that support environmental sustainability while driving economic development.
On the sidelines of the summit, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, mining, and technology.
Investment and Climate Commitments
The President also announced plans to attract increased foreign investment into Nigeria, including proposals to mobilise climate and green industrial financing to support the country’s energy transition and economic reforms.
According to official sources, discussions held during the summit are expected to enhance Nigeria’s international partnerships and improve investor confidence.

The President’s return and activities at the summit were confirmed in a statement issued by the Presidency, which noted that details of agreements and engagements reached during the visit would be communicated to the public in due course.
