Former senator and businessman Ben Murray-Bruce has shared insights from a personal conversation with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his governance strategy.

According to Murray-Bruce, he asked Tinubu how he intended to manage Nigeria effectively given the large number of ministers and advisers—42 in total. In response, Tinubu reportedly said, “I only need eight people to run Nigeria,” emphasizing that leadership is more about having a capable, trusted team than relying on numbers.

This revelation underscores Tinubu’s focus on efficiency, trust, and competence within a select group of advisers to achieve his governance objectives.
