By Erewunmi Peace

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has pledged to completely revamp the health sector in Osun State if elected governor in the 2026 elections.

Oyebamiji made the declaration after the inauguration of his wife, Dr. Sekinah Bola‑Oyebamiji, as President of the Osun State chapter of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN). He highlighted the dilapidated state of health facilities across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions and vowed to make healthcare a top priority.

The APC candidate stated that his administration would focus on revitalising hospitals, improving medical infrastructure, and ensuring functional service delivery across the state. He said the initiative is part of a broader plan to strengthen critical sectors and improve the quality of life for Osun residents.

Oyebamiji’s pledge comes amid growing concerns about the state of public health facilities in Osun, with many citizens advocating for urgent reforms and better access to medical services.

He reassured the people that investments in healthcare would be a cornerstone of his governance, alongside reforms in education, infrastructure, and economic development.
