FG, States, and LGs Share N2.2 Trillion Allocation in August

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has announced that the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Areas (LGAs) shared a total of N2.225 trillion in August 2025.
According to the report released after the FAAC meeting in Abuja, the distributable revenue was drawn from a gross revenue of N3.635 trillion.
Breakdown of the Allocation:
Federal Government: N810.047 billion
State Governments: N709.831 billion
Local Governments: N522.228 billion
Oil Producing States (13% Derivation): N183.012 billion
The committee explained that revenue came from statutory allocations, Value Added Tax (VAT), Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and oil & gas earnings.
This distribution marks one of the highest allocations in recent months, reflecting improved revenue performance despite ongoing economic challenges.
