Mixed Reactions Trail FG’s 30-Day Petrol Discount

The Federal Government has announced a 30-day discount on petrol at NNPC retail stations nationwide, with priority for public transporters.

Minister of Finance Taiwo Oyedele says it is NOT a return of subsidy, but selling “at cost” to cushion transport fares, plus a proposed N1,350 per litre ceiling on landing cost to stabilize prices.
