How CAC Registrar-General Ishaq Magaji Acquired N700m Duplexes in Two Years on Salary of N583,000 – Report
By Erewunmi Peace
Allegations have surfaced online claiming that CAC Registrar-General Hussaini Ishaq Magaji (SAN) purchased two luxury duplexes in Abuja worth over N700 million in just two years, despite earning a monthly salary of approximately N583,000.
According to reports circulating on news blogs, critics are questioning how Magaji could afford such expensive properties on his official salary, raising concerns about unexplained wealth and financial transparency in the Corporate Affairs Commission.
The reports allege that the Registrar-General not only acquired the duplexes but also invested in lavish furnishings and high-end facilities, sparking further scrutiny from stakeholders and social commentators.
While these claims have drawn wide attention online, it is important to note that no official investigation or confirmation from anti-corruption agencies (EFCC/ICPC) or the CAC has been published. Authorities have not verified the details of the alleged acquisitions.
Separately, petitions have been submitted to the ICPC regarding alleged irregularities in CAC corporate records, but these do not directly confirm the property claims.
The story continues to gain traction on social media, with calls for transparency and accountability in public office, particularly for officials entrusted with managing critical national institutions.
