Tragedy Strikes Kano Assembly as Two Lawmakers Die Within Hours

The Kano State House of Assembly has been thrown into mourning following the death of two serving lawmakers, who passed away within hours of each other.

The deceased lawmakers have been identified as Hon. Aminu Sa’ad Ungogo, who represented Ungogo Constituency, and Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, the lawmaker representing Kano Municipal Constituency.

Reports indicate that Hon. Aminu Sa’ad Ungogo died after a brief illness. Barely hours later, news emerged of the death of Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, sending shockwaves across the Assembly and the state at large.

The deaths were confirmed by officials of the Kano State House of Assembly and members of the state government. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed deep sorrow over the incident, describing it as a painful loss to the state, the Assembly, and the people they served.

In condolence messages, colleagues and political leaders described the late lawmakers as dedicated public servants who contributed significantly to legislative activities and constituency development.
