Police Confirm Missing EKSU Student Found Alive in Osun State

The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed that a student of Ekiti State University (EKSU), who was reported missing earlier this month, has been found alive in Osun State.
According to the police, the student, who traveled from Lagos to Ado‑Ekiti on January 5, 2026, became unreachable, prompting an official search. The authorities traced him to Osogbo, Osun State, following intelligence gathering.
The police stated that the student was neither abducted nor harmed. He reportedly stayed away due to personal reasons, including challenges with his academic performance. During questioning, he disclosed that he had taken temporary employment with a private security firm.
The Ekiti State Police Command has urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information, emphasizing that such actions can cause unnecessary panic.
Authorities confirmed that investigations remain ongoing, and the student is now safe and reunited with his family.
