Six farmers have been killed in a fresh attack by suspected armed bandits in Unguwar Wawa community, located in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday night, when attackers stormed the community and opened fire on farmers working in their farmlands. Residents said the assailants operated with precision, causing panic and fear across the area.

Eyewitnesses and community sources disclosed that the attack left several families devastated, as farmers were the primary victims of the assault. Community members have called on security agencies to intervene urgently to prevent further loss of lives.

As of the latest reports, Niger State security authorities have not issued an official statement, but residents are appealing for prompt action to secure rural areas prone to bandit attacks.
