In a shocking incident, Oba Kehinde Jacob Faledun, the Alagamo of Agamo in Akure North Local Government Area, was hacked to death by unknown gunmen.

According to eyewitnesses and police reports, the attackers stormed the monarch’s palace, attempting a kidnapping. Oba Faledun resisted, but was overpowered. He was later found dead a short distance from his home with gunshot wounds.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched a manhunt for the suspects. The state government has expressed deep condolences to the family and community, calling for calm and cooperation with security agencies.

This tragic event has once again raised concerns over security in the region, highlighting the growing threat of armed attacks on traditional rulers and communities in Ondo State.
