Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor announced his decision in a statewide broadcast, stating that the move was taken in the best interest of Adamawa State. According to him, aligning with the ruling party at the federal level would enhance cooperation and accelerate development projects in the state.
