The Ogun State Government has engaged Fulani community leaders and security agencies in a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening peace and improving security across the state.

The meeting, held in Abeokuta, brought together top security officials, representatives of Fulani communities, and other key stakeholders to discuss ways of preventing criminal activities and maintaining harmony among residents.
Speaking at the meeting, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, AIG Olusola Subair (retd.), emphasized the importance of collaboration between community leaders and security agencies in tackling security challenges.

According to him, security is a collective responsibility that requires cooperation from all groups within the state.
The engagement also included discussions on identifying criminal elements, improving intelligence sharing, and ensuring peaceful coexistence between farmers, herders, and host communities.
Fulani leaders present at the meeting assured the state government of their commitment to peace and pledged to work with authorities to prevent criminals from hiding within their communities.

The Ogun State Government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property while promoting unity and mutual understanding among different ethnic and community groups in the state.

Stakeholders at the meeting expressed optimism that continued dialogue and collaboration would help strengthen security and sustain peaceful coexistence in Ogun State.
