Rivers APC Suspends Party Chieftain Fubara Dagogo Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

By Erewunmi Peace

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended a party chieftain, Fubara Dagogo, over alleged anti-party activities.

Dagogo, a member of the party in Rivers State, was reportedly suspended by his ward following accusations of misconduct and actions considered to be against the interest of the party.

According to party sources, the suspension is linked to a legal action reportedly initiated by Dagogo challenging internal party processes, including issues surrounding the party’s convention.

The ward executives stated that his actions were in violation of party rules and disciplinary guidelines, prompting the decision to suspend him pending further review.

Party officials emphasized that the move is part of efforts to maintain discipline and unity within the APC, especially at a time when the party is preparing for major political activities.

The development has drawn attention due to the similarity in name with the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara. However, the suspended individual is not the governor but a separate party member.

Political observers say the situation highlights ongoing internal challenges within party structures at the state level.
