The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested several suspects, including elderly individuals, during coordinated anti-drug operations carried out across multiple states in Nigeria.

According to the agency, the raids led to the seizure of large quantities of illicit substances, including cannabis, tramadol, and other prohibited drugs.

NDLEA officials disclosed that the operations were part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks and reduce the circulation of illegal substances nationwide.

Among those arrested were elderly suspects, a development that has drawn attention to the expanding demographic involved in drug-related activities.

The agency noted that the operations spanned several states, targeting known drug hotspots and distribution points.

NDLEA reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying enforcement actions while also promoting public awareness on the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking.
