The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned popular relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing CEO (Blessing Okoro), before a Federal High Court in Lagos over alleged fraud involving ₦36 million.

She was arraigned on charges bordering on obtaining money under false pretence, following allegations that she received funds from a complainant under the promise of securing a property.

According to court proceedings, the EFCC alleged that the money was paid to her for the purchase of a duplex in Lagos, but the transaction reportedly did not materialize as agreed.

The anti-graft agency filed the case under the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, as the matter came before the court for hearing.

Blessing CEO is expected to respond to the charges as the case continues, while the court is expected to rule on bail conditions and further proceedings.

The EFCC maintained that the case is part of its ongoing efforts to tackle financial crimes and protect citizens from fraudulent schemes.

The matter has been adjourned for continuation of hearing as legal proceedings continue.
