JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Original Result Slip
By Peace Erewunmi
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) original result slips, enabling candidates to print the official document required for admission processing into tertiary institutions.
The announcement was made by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed that candidates can now access and print their original result slips through the board’s designated platforms.
According to the board, the original result slip contains important details such as the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features used by universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education during admission screening and verification processes.
JAMB advised candidates to carefully review all information on their printed slips and keep copies for future admission-related activities. The board noted that the document can be printed from any internet-enabled device or through accredited business centres.
The release follows the conclusion of the 2026 UTME mop-up examination conducted for candidates affected by technical and biometric verification issues during the main examination. JAMB had earlier delayed the printing of original result slips pending the completion of the mop-up exercise and foreign-based examinations.
Candidates seeking to print their result slips can access the service through the official JAMB portal, where the board provides various post-registration services and admission-related facilities.
The development marks another step in the 2026 admission process as candidates prepare for post-UTME screenings and admission consideration by tertiary institutions across the country.
