By Peace Erewunmi

Governors of Nigeria’s 36 states have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through a series of coordinated development initiatives aimed at accelerating economic growth, improving social services and strengthening governance across the country.

The governors expressed their support during a meeting of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), where they resolved to deepen collaboration with the Federal Government in implementing programmes focused on infrastructure development, healthcare, education, agriculture, food security and human capital development. They noted that stronger cooperation between the federal and state governments is essential to achieving sustainable national development.

The initiatives are expected to align with the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda by promoting job creation, reducing poverty, enhancing public service delivery and improving the quality of life for Nigerians. The governors also pledged to strengthen policy coordination and ensure the effective implementation of development projects at the state level.

Speaking on the significance of the collaboration, stakeholders said the renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment to addressing Nigeria’s socioeconomic challenges through coordinated action and inclusive governance. They expressed optimism that the initiatives would deliver tangible benefits to citizens and accelerate national development.

The renewed backing comes as the Tinubu administration continues to implement reforms under its Renewed Hope Agenda, with increased emphasis on economic diversification, infrastructure investment, social protection and improved service delivery across all sectors of the economy.
