President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, for his outstanding dedication and professionalism in advancing Nigeria’s anti-corruption agenda.

The President gave the commendation while addressing stakeholders during an event in Abuja, noting that under Olukoyede’s leadership, the EFCC has intensified efforts in tackling economic and financial crimes across the country.

According to President Tinubu, the EFCC has achieved significant milestones in the past year, including over 7,000 convictions and the recovery of assets valued at more than ₦500 billion. He described these results as a reflection of “renewed integrity, transparency, and courage” in public service.

“Mr. Olukoyede has demonstrated a firm commitment to Nigeria’s anti-corruption war, and his professionalism has strengthened the confidence of Nigerians in the EFCC,” Tinubu stated.

The President further assured Nigerians of his administration’s continued support for the EFCC in ensuring accountability, good governance, and the protection of public resources.

Mr. Olukoyede, who was appointed as EFCC Chairman in October 2023, has introduced reforms aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and public trust in the Commission’s operations.
