Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, former First Lady of Ghana, has passed away at the age of 76. She died on October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra after a brief illness, according to a spokesperson for the presidency.

Nana Konadu served as First Lady from 1981 to 2001 during the presidency of her late husband, Jerry John Rawlings. She was widely recognized for her advocacy for women’s rights, political participation, and empowerment across Ghana. Her initiatives contributed significantly to the advancement of gender policy and the welfare of women in the country.
